Book Description

For fans of The Guild, New Girl, Scott Pilgrim, Big Bang Theory, Veronica Mars, or anyone who has ever geeked out about something.

The odds of Dahlia successfully navigating adulthood are 3,720 to 1. But never tell her the odds.

Meet Dahlia Moss, the reigning queen of unfortunate decision-making in the St. Louis area. Unemployed broke, and on her last bowl of ramen, she's not living her best life. But that's all about to change. Before Dahlia can make her life any messier on her own she's offered a job. A job that she's woefully under-qualified for. A job that will lead her to a murder, an MMORPG, and possibly a fella (or two?).Turns out unfortunate decisions abound, and she's just the girl to deal with them.

My thoughts

After reading the description of this book, I was very excited and interested to see what it had to offer.I was expecting something great and I was not disappointed. Funny, hilarious, entertaining. This book follows the story of Dahlia, jobless for over a year, broke, living with a roommate, and how then she is offered a job recovering a spear and how that would lead her to a mystery, a murder. I absolutely loved the character of Dahlia, she is smart, adorable, and full of energy, even though her life is a mess, she is not in her best place and her life does not look that great but she does not allow to be let down by any of this. I liked it from the beginning to the end, made me laugh and made me want to know what was next and know the characters better, which is incredible. I like how the mystery unfolds and how is not predictable at all, kept me guessing the whole time and a satisfying ending. I like the author's writing style and how well the story is presented.

If you are looking for a funny read, with mystery, and great and reliable characters, I totally recommend The Unfortunate Decisions of Dahlia Moss.

Thank you Redhook and Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
